At Robin Cosmetics our goal is to reduce our long term footprint on the earth as much as possible whilst still providing the highest quality alternatives to traditional beauty products, which tend to contain chemicals that don’t easily degrade in soil and can be potentially harmful to wildlife, and are also shipped and stored in plastic or non-degradable packaging.
We look for solutions that are truly biodegradable and add nothing toxic to the environment (even our ink has been vetted and approved by our vegan scientists!)
In the small number of cases we haven’t been able to find a bio-degradable solution for our packaging, we have opted to use glass and implement a closed loop recycling scheme, where we pay you to return our empty packaging!
This packaging is then thoroughly cleansed and used by our team for prototyping and other activities (don’t worry, you won’t get someone else’s old bottle sent to you!)
Whilst glass and aluminium are both recyclable at most major centres, this approach keeps our products out of the system entirely so we can guarantee they aren’t going to landfill. It also reduces our need to buy additional storage bottles, which reduces our footprint even further!
